Kiwis Can Fly was my team’s 3rd Year project for the Creative Media Production course at Massey University.
We had a small team, so I took on a few roles for this project. Most notably: assistant producer, pipeline manager, casting director, animator, and editor.

Rugby Conversion Kicks
Input Err0r was a two player video game installation displayed at the Massey College of Creative arts "Time and Space" exhibition in 2017.
Two players are given a set of four different controllers, with the common goal collecting a set amount of point coins. Though the task may appear simple, the real challenge lies outside of the screen - the controllers. The players must find their way around four controllers of differing brands, layouts, and eras. Two of these controllers sport a full array of buttons, as well as directional analog sticks; these will be used at the as the base Player 1 and Player 2 controllers, playing host to the look and walk controls. The other two Controllers have their set buttons, including their D-Pads mapped to be used at points throughout the level. As the players navigate the level they will find themselves searching for the right buttons on the right controller, sometimes this will be a button on the controller they are currently using, but more often the button will be located on one of the three other controllers (Even the controllers the other player is using). The use of many unfamiliar buttons is intended to draw the player out of an immersive video game experience, forcing them to analyze the physical space in front of them, as well as the virtual space behind the screen.
The game was a 'functioning technical demonstration' and took some tinkering to set-up correctly, but if you would like to give it a go it can be downloaded here Please refer to the control legend at the bottom of this page for button combinations.
